Energy saving amongst stone excavation plants is not beyond Energy Ace, as was demonstrated by our work at Cauldon Low Quarry, run by the Tarmac group of companies.
Tarmac installed a new processing plant complete with variable speed drives to reduce operating costs, although the degree of efficiency remained poor.
Tarmac contacted us for a solution to improve efficiency, remove the reactive power penalty charges and further reduce energy costs.
We delivered a turnkey project consisting of a harmonic blocking detuned power factor correction system to improve the overall efficiency to 0.99pf (99% efficient) from an uncorrected 80%.
The whole project returned the clients investment within 11 months.Download Case Study
